My Values

Mastery

Mastery is more than just being really good at something, it is to understand the action as if it is your own and that only comes through thousands of hours of development.

Effort

Effort is the sum total of energy and attention exerted in the pursuit of a goal. But deeper it is the manner to which I approach any goal and to the level of resource development needed to succeed.

Action

Action is more than words, it is the small steps towards achievement and it take consistent actions to complete a goal. I use action as an initiator of change, to create and develop long lasting behaviours.

Respect

Respect is more than just the way I talk to you or the language I use. Respect is valuing your opinion, listening to your needs and not taking actions that will negatively affect others.

The Power of Self-Validation: How to Believe in Yourself

In a world that often seeks validation outside of self, the ability to use self-validation techniques is a powerful and transformative practice that when used can bring beautiful results.

Self-validation is the act of recognizing and accepting our own thoughts, feelings, and experiences as valid and worthy.

It helps us to develop a deep sense of self-acceptance, build inner strength, and build our self-esteem. Today I want to explore the value of self-validation and how it can help better our lives.

Believing in yourself is the key to success in all areas of your life and recognizing that your experience is truly one of a kind and how to leverage that strength and build upon your weaknesses.

Understanding Self-Validation and How to Love Yourself

Self-validation is the ability to understand that your unique feelings, thoughts, and experiences are valid and worthy.  As the driver of your ship, it is vital for you to understand and validate your own life experience.

The difference between self-validation and looking for validation outside yourself is understanding that your opinion on your life is valid. If you ask a barber how to drive a plane the chances are, they might just steer you into the ground.

A lot of times we seek validation from our family or people in our lives that aren’t in a place that we ourselves are trying to be. It’s important to ask yourself before asking an outside source, is this person where I want to be?

Seeking external validation from sources that don’t understand where you are going can wreak havoc on your paradigm and shatter your beliefs if looked for in the wrong area.

How Self-Validation Can Change Your Life and Build Confidence

When you understand that your thoughts, opinions, and beliefs are valuable and can trust your own instincts you will start to see and build up self-esteem and self-confidence because you have the ability to trust your own direction.

After working on the ability to validate yourself, you will find that you are resilient in the face of criticism and rejection. It has also helped me to realize that rejection is redirection.

Validation yourself will improve your emotional well-being and transform negative thoughts into positive actions. As you see improvement you will also notice that your self-doubt will begin to disappear.

When you work on the ability to validate yourself you will gain a sense of identity and authenticity. Giving more understanding to yourself and understanding about where you are beliefs come from.

How to Learn Self-Validation and Where To Start

Practice self-awareness by checking in with yourself; understanding what thoughts lead to your emotions and understanding where you want to be. Use mindfulness to really get in touch with yourself.

Understand your emotions by noticing the presence in your body and dig into your surroundings and triggers. Give yourself a little compassion as you go through this process.

Identify your emotions as they come up

Notice when you start having negative self-talk and self-judgment and practice writing out that belief in the opposite. If you say I am not good at talking to people

You can work with your mind and start to change that belief by telling yourself “I am good with people and I am always learning”

Understanding Beliefs and Empowering Self-Talk

Challenge each of your thoughts as they come up and identify if they are helping you or hurting you. If you notice hindering beliefs write out an affirmation that counteracts the thought and repeat it daily.

Set healthy boundaries and learn to say no to anything that doesn’t serve you. Prioritize self-care and understand that this is the basis of how you project yourself.

Celebrate your personal achievements including all the small wins throughout the day. If you notice yourself doing better in certain areas, don’t forget to give yourself some praise.

It’s important to understand self-limiting beliefs and understand that your true power comes from the belief that you have in yourself.

Self-Validation in Relationships and Having Healthy Boundaries

Nurturing healthy and supportive relationships is very helpful on this journey and being able to establish healthy boundaries in our relationship is vital to our growth.

Understanding and communicating our needs and boundaries effectively within our relationships will help others understand where we are and what we are seeking within the relationship.

Avoiding co-dependency by understanding where one's responsibilities end and another's begins. This is true with beliefs and opinions of oneself.

By understanding yourself and your beliefs, it’s easier to avoid seeking validation from others and truly understand that you can validate yourself.

Challenges in Self-Validation and How to Overcome Negative Criticism

Dealing with the common pressures from society's expectations and the pressure from outside sources by understanding that most of the criticism and judgment come from outdated and conditioned belief systems.

You can manage self-criticism and perfectionism by recognizing your strengths and the ability to push through setbacks and use self-criticism to push forward.

Having support from therapists, mentors, and communities is a great resource to build on your ability to validate yourself by being surrounded by like-minded individuals.

Perfectionism can be a beast to overcome and it’s important to embrace failure as an opportunity to learn and grow and recognize the situation for what it is.

A learning experience where you expand on your knowledge with skills and the ability to persist through hard times to become a better version.

Self Validation is the Key to Success

In a world that often encourages seeking validation from others, self-validation offers a path to authenticity, inner strength, and self-acceptance.

By using self-validation techniques, we can build a solid foundation of self-worth and value that is not dependent on anything outside of ourselves.

It allows us to cultivate healthier relationships, navigate challenges with resilience, and live a more fulfilling life. Let us take this journey towards self-validation, celebrating our uniqueness, and embracing our worthiness, one step at a time.

Justin Brienesse

Hi, a little about my story, I am Justin I have spent the past 15 years working in small businesses and I have always been deeply passionate about three key aspects of businesses. firstly the experience we give to our customers good and bad our primary focus in a business should always be the consumer experience. As in today's society if you are not 100% focused on your customer, why would they shop with you and its not other businesses your up against but the convenience of purchasing online. This is why it is essential to give your customers what I call AAA+ service, you want every experience to be their best experience and failing to do so will only affect your chances of repeat business. Secondly we have to be experts at sales, communicating our message to potential customers and identifying our customers based on their wants and needs. This is key as I have never seen a doctor walking through the shopping centre, saying are you sick do you need medical treatment from healthy individuals and yes there is a high likelihood that potentially in a crowd someone is sick. The key here is if we have a clear understanding of who our customers are, we can ignore everyone else and focus on developing communications targeted at developing relationships with them. Thirdly we need to have a deep understanding of marketing this is how we promote our message to potential customers and the language we use will help us connect with them. We need to have a deep understanding of where are our customers hanging out, where do they get entertainment from, where do they find information from and most importantly how do they like to be communicated with. The key with our marketing is to use it like a magnet to draw people in to find out more about us, our services and what we stand for as a business. Marketing is not about making customers buy, but it is used to connect with them through content, information, shared experiences and many more personal things. Remember marketing is about creating conversations, sales is about identifying customers needs and customer service is about creating an experience.
